埋地灯是用于泛光照明的大型灯具，配有反射罩，可调节出光方向，配备各种课替换的彩色滤光镜和格栅，可提供多种照明效果。埋地灯要求很高的防护等级，一般要达到IP167;要有很高的抗撞击强度;因为裸露在地面上，还要有很高的耐压强度，负重应达到1000~1500kg;另外，埋地灯的棱镜材料还需要良好的抗紫外性能。
